چکیده

A wing-payload system is a two-body flight vehicle with a payload suspended below the wing through a large number of suspension lines. The present study gives a detailed description of 4-DOF longitudinal flight dynamic model of the wing-payload system. The aerodynamic coefficients of the wing are generated using CFD simulations whereas those of the payload are estimated from empirical relations. Using the forces and moments generated on the wing, suspension lines and payload, a dynamic model is developed to study the longitudinal stability characteristics of the system during flight. A detailed analysis of the effect of various parameters on the stability characteristics of the system has also been carried out.

Simulation of Store Separation using Low-cost CFD with Dynamic Meshing

The simulation of the store separation using the automatic coupling of dynamic equations with flow aerodynamics is addressed. The precision and cost (calculation time) were considered as comparators. The method used in the present research decreased the calculation cost while limiting the solution error within a specific and tolerable interval. The methods applied to model the aerodynamic force...

A numerical dynamic-aerodynamic interface for simulating the separation dynamics of constrained strap-on boosters jettisoned in the atmosphere is presented. A 6-DOF multi body dynamic solver ،using Constraint Force Equation Methodology is coupled with a numerical time dependent Euler flow solver. Helicopter Rotor Airloads Prediction Using CFD and Flight Test Measurement in Hover Flight

An implicit unsteady upwind solver including a mesh motion approach was applied to simulate a helicopter including body, main rotor and tail rotor in hover flight. The discretization was based on a second order finite volume approach with fluxes given by the Roeand#39;s scheme. Discretization of Geometric Conservation Laws (GCL) was devised in such a way that the three-dimensional flows on arbi...

A real-time recursive dynamic model for vehicle driving simulators

This paper presents the Real-Time Recursive Dynamics (RTRD) model that is developed for driving simulators. The model could be implemented in the Driving Simulator. The RTRD can also be used for off-line high-speed dynamics analysis, compared with commercial multibody dynamics codes, to speed up mechanical design process. An overview of RTRD is presented in the paper. Basic models for specific ...
